Torbran is just a worse Neheb deck, like, if what you want is mono red burn in edh. before you really even worry about your deck, do a bit of research, find a budget or affordable way to fix these issues.Īfter you do that. Your deck has flaws in almost all these core fundamentals. even steel hellkite, can provide a colorless removal option. Scour from existence, even at 7 mana, or one of the artifacts. Namely that red can't deal with an enchantment very easily. should include spells that compensate for red's weaknesses. I would lean more toward viashino heritic type creatures. pyroblast, can work, red can also easily destroy artifacts. Chaos warp is our best general purpose removal spell. Red is great at removal in 60 card formats not so much in edh. mind stone, a cycling land, or card draw land. aim for 10 sources of card draw at a min, and then. rewarding you for playing aggressive and punishing others for holding onto cards.Īgain. (and 10 is a solid base line for each category of foundational cards) sol ring, mind stone, arcane signet (if you can afford it) fellwar stone. you generally speaking want to shoot for something in the order of 10. gier reach sanitarium or another wonky card draw type land. mono red could also possibly benefit from other wonky lands. not to mention almost auto include lands like land destruct and GY nuke. a slug deck could utilize lands like shivan gorge or ramunep ruins. single pip cycle land for R, could even run one or multiple of the 2 cmc cyclers. Even on a budget, there are some solid utility lands you're missing. And honestly, if you're newer to edh, or on a budget, it's probably better to lean toward more lands than less. especially with some of the higher cmc spells you're running.
